Ahora en vez de medianamente recrear la experiencia de PC y consolas de Call of Duty, Activision está buscando con Call of Duty: Heroes, colgarse de la popularidad de juegos como Clash of Clans, en la misma forma que Disney con Star Wars: Commander

Call of Duty: Heroes ofrece las mismas mecánicas de juego encontradas en los otros títulos free-to-play de pseudo estrategia, como los mencionados arriba, con los mismos periodos absurdos de espera para actualizar instalaciones y unidades, en la espera de que uno se desespere e invierta dinero real en adquirir “celerium” para apresurar la construcción, y actualización.

Igualmente cuenta con un modo historia, y el poder atacar a otros jugadores, junto con las campañas especiales temporales, en este caso denominada Survival. Entre los personajes icónicos de la franquicia que podrán ser reclutados como unidades especiales o héroes, están el Capitán John Price, el Sargento John “Soap” MacTavish, y Mike Harper entre otros extraídos de a lo largo de la franquicia.

In Call of Duty: Heroes players take command of a small outpost to build and upgrade it into an impenetrable base, utilizing a number of weapons and equipment options, including sentry guns, SAM turrets, mines and more than 30 upgradeable structures. Gamers can direct and level up five legendary Call of Duty heroes such as Capt. John Price and Sgt.
