Hoy fue lanzado Call of Duty: Strike Team para iOS, el cual ofrece “mecánicas optimizadas para móviles y tabletas” y esto tratan de lograrlo por me dio de la opción de seleccionar la vista en primera persona o recurrir a vista cenital en tercera persona llevando el juego por una vía más táctica.
Strike Team ofrece únicamente campaña en solitario así que tal vez no resulte tan atractivo para aquellos que solo tocan el apartado multijugador de Call of Duty y similares, y no, no hay zombis afortunadamente. Aunque incluye un modo de supervivencia y muchas de la armas, gratificaciones (perks), rangos y niveles de prestigio de la franquicia.
El desarrollo corre a cargo de The Blast Furnace, el nuevo estudio de Activision para móviles y es encabezado por los veteranos Mark Washbrook y Gordon Hall.
Cuenta con soporte para la cuenta de Call of Duty la cual ofrece bonos extras en el juego al firmar con sus credenciales. El costo de la aplicación es de $7 USD y soporta iPhone 4S en adelante, iPad mini, iPad 2 en adelante y iPod Touch 5. Call of Duty: Strike Team estará disponible para Android posteriormente.
