Seis años han pasado desde que Defense Grid saliera originalmente en PC, y ahora Hidden Path se prepara para lanzar Defense Grid 2 en PC, PlayStation 4, y Xbox One.
Hidden Path Entertainment dio a conocer la fecha de lanzamiento el día de hoy durante la Gamescom, en donde está mostrando Defense Grid 2 al publico en general, la cual será el próximo 23 de septiembre. Actualmente el título se encuentra en beta en Windows PC, y aquellos que lo preorden en Steam tendrán acceso. El juego a demás de ofrecer un modo cooperativo, vendrá con un editor de mapas llamado DG Architect.
Defense Grid 2 fue posible gracias a una exitosa campaña en Kicstarter en 2012, la cual además sirvió para desarrollar la expansión Containment para el título original.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — August 14, 2014 — 505 Games and Hidden Path Entertainment today announced that Defense Grid 2, the sequel to the 2008 tower defense critical hit, will launch on September 23, 2014. The game is currently available for pre-order on Steam and will be released for digital download on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Hidden Path Entertainment is hosting demos of Defense Grid 2 this week during Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, to showcase the game’s user-created content tool, DG Architect.
