Freedom Cry está situado 15 años después de los hechos de Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, centrándose en Adéwale, quien fuera el Intendente de Edward Kenway. Al inicio de la historia del DLC, Adéwale ha naufragado en las costas de Santo Domingo (Haití hoy en día), donde se enfrentará a algunos de los traficantes de esclavos más brutales del nuevo mundo.
Adéwale hará uso de machete en vez de espada así como de las tradicionales cuchillas de los asesinos, también tendrá su propia embarcación llamada Experto Crede, y seguiremos viendo el sistema “superhéroe”, en el que nuestro personaje se pone su capucha cuando es necesario recordarnos que este sigue siendo un juego de Assassin’s Creed. El DLC llegará el 17 de diciembre a PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One y Xbox 360.

London, UK — December 12, 2013 — Today Ubisoft® announced that Freedom Cry, the post launch downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag™, will be available on December 18th on PlayStation Network for the PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and the PlayStation® 3 computer entertainment system. It will be available on December 17th for download on Xbox LIVE for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC. Freedom Cry is also part of the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag™ Season Pass.
Freedom Cry is a nine mission self-contained story featuring Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale. Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as captain Edward Kenway’s second-in-command. Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapons or crew, starting a new adventure of his own.
For players interested in the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag™ Season Pass, it’s available now and includes Freedom Cry, as well as the exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, additional single-player missions, weapons, skins and collectibles, including the Blackbeard’s Wrath add-on content as well as upcoming new characters for an expansive multiplayer experience.
