Durante los PlayStation Awards 2013 realizados por Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asía en Tokio, Square Enix dio a conocer que la beta para PlayStation 4 de Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn estará lista el 22 de febrero, para coincidir con el lanzamiento de la nueva consola en Japón. Y para abril es cuando Square Enix planea lanzar el título oficialmente en PS4.
Durante la premiación, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn fue galardonado con el “Special Award“, el cual reconoce a títulos excepcionales en la combinación de originalidad, influencia y desempeño.
Square Enix, también comunicó que llevarán acabo una transmisión en línea como parte de la onceava entrega de Producer Letter Live, en donde Naoki Yoshida (Productor y Director) demostrará gameplay de la versión de PS4 del título, además de dar adelantos de la segunda parte del parche 2.1 para PC y PS3. Esto será el próximo 14 de diciembre a las 6:00 a.m. CST (4am PST, 7am EST), en esta dirección.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN RECEIVES “SPECIAL AWARD” AT PLAYSTATION® AWARDS 2013
PlayStation® 4 Version Beta testing to start with the Japanese release of console; launch planned for April 2014
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 3, 2013) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, is pleased to announce that FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Ream Reborn™ received the “Special Award” at the 2013 PlayStation® Awards in Tokyo, Japan.
PlayStation® Awards, hosted by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia (SCEJA), is an event that recognizes hit titles released on the PlayStation platform. The “Special Award” was newly-created this year to recognize outstanding titles on the overall combination based on the following attributes: originality, buzz-worthiness, influence and performance. Square Enix further announced that beta testing for the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn PlayStation®4 system version will start the same day as the console’s release date in Japan on February 22nd, 2014. The official service start date for the PlayStation®4 system version is scheduled for April 2014.
As part of the 11th installment of Producer Letter LIVE, Naoki Yoshida (producer/director) will demonstrate the new PlayStation®4 system version at 4:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Saturday, December 14th, 2013. Other featured highlights will include content from the major Patch 2.1 update, scheduled to be released on Tuesday, December 17th: “The Wolves’ Den,” “Treasure Hunting,” and “Daily Beast Tribe Quests.”
