Final Fantasy VIII que fuera originalmente lanzado en 1999, fue lanzado el día de hoy en Steam optimizado para las computadoras actuales de alta definición e integrado totalmente con el servicio de Valve.

Entre las nuevas funciones para esta versión, se encuentra el Magic Booster el cual permite a los jugadores cargar los hechizos, soporte para Steam cloud, y 45 logros. También está incluido el mundo Chocobo, el cual solo estuvo disponible en la versión japonesa del título, el costo es de $12 USD.

The fastest-selling FINAL FANTASY title up until FINAL FANTASY XIII, the game has gone on to sell over 8.5 million copies across platforms worldwide.  With an emotional score by the renowned composer Nobuo Uematsu and including the vocal piece, “Eyes on Me”, performed by Faye Wong, this is one of the most beloved entries in the FINAL FANTASY series. Delivering a powerful and sentimental story, players will follow the path of six elite military cadets, who’ll ultimately put their differences aside to combat a hidden threat that has gripped the country of Galbadia.
