El RPG de acción a cargo de Monolith Productions situado en el universo de las películas de El Señor de los Anillos, tiene ya una fecha oficial de lanzamiento, junto con sus respectivos bonos de preventa.
Warner Bros. Interactive estará lanzando Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor el próximo 7 de octubre en PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 y Xbox One. La historia se centra en Talion, quien es asesinado por las fuerzas de Sauron, y posteriormente revivido por el espíritu de la venganza. El título es de mundo abierto con los enemigos haciendo uso del denominado Sistema Nemesis, que los moldea de acuerdo a las acciones del jugador, aunque el sistema no se encontrará en PS3 y Xbox 360, pueden ver el primer video con gameplay en esta liga.
En cuanto a los incentivos de preventa, estos serán en la forma del paquete The Dark Ranger el cual incluye el traje Dark Ranger, y el modo Test of Power, el cual enfrenta al jugador con los capitanes de Sauron para ganar runas y obtener una ventaja al iniciar el juego.
El nuevo tráiler del título, se centra en la historia de origen de Talion y su búsqueda de venganza.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor delivers a dynamic game environment where the player orchestrates their personal plan of vengeance as they bend Mordor to their will.
