Ace Combat Infinity podrá desplegar gratuitamente sus alas el próximo mes en PlayStation 3, cuando este free-to-play finalmente esté disponible a poco menos de un año de haber sido anunciado.
Además de la fecha de lanzamiento que será el 27 de mayo en América y el 28 en Euroasia y Oceanía, Bandai Namco dio a conocer que Ace Combat Infinity contará con modalidad jugador vs. jugador, además de la campaña y el modo cooperativo.
La campaña mezcla elementos de las historias de Ace Combat 4 y 5, situándolas en una versión alterna de nuestro mundo. En la última versión del título que pudimos probar, el gameplay es prácticamente idéntico a las entregas pasadas, por lo que veteranos de la franquicia se sentirán en casa. En cuanto a gráficos no esperen algo inmensamente superior a AC 6.
Para realizar cada misión o buscar mejorar nuestro desempeño en una que ya hayamos realizado, tendremos que gastar cierta cantidad de combustible, mismo que con el tiempo volverá a llenarse. En caso de que no deseen esperar para poder iniciar una nueva misión, deberán de gastar dinero real para adquirir más combustible.
La nueva modalidad competitiva recién anunciada, estará disponible después de que sea lanzado el juego el 27 de mayo.

ACE COMBAT INFINITY marks the first time the storied Ace Combat franchise has entered the Free-to-Play gaming arena. The storyline in ACE COMBAT INFINITY combines a near future world setting with gameplay elements that have resonated with fans from previous Ace Combat titles, including fierce dogfights with enemy aces, boss battles against giant aircrafts and bases all presented with hyper-realistic visuals. ACE COMBAT INFINITY’s Story Campaign mode will immerse players in an original storyline where they will complete a series of solo missions. The game’s online Co-op Multiplayer mode will allow aces to form two teams of up to four players and compete head-to-head to inflict the most damage on a common enemy.
